does not listen to the defense or to reason she wants to give a strict punishment to people that dont deserve it. Rarely does the punishment fit the crime with her. Criminal Defense Lawyer
My observations of Judge Herron were scary for any defendant going before her. She sentenced the max in most cases and does not seem to care about the person only the sentence. I have witnessed multiple unfair sentences placed by Herron. She should not be on the bench, she uses her position of power in negative ways. She is unfair and should be removed immediately.
She is on a power trip, signs plea agreement and the refuses to enforce them.. always always something wrong in her court room she “know” that no work release will ever be done again(?) funny it already up and running. She states to defendants that “You will never get out of “Arapahoe county” to serve your sentence in “her” county.. which is Douglas.. yes that’s right! She is a judge in Douglas county and thinks she has say in Arapahoe courts as well... she also “REFUSED” to hear about a medical emergency with one of her case..
Incredibly bias towards prosecution. Also, quite ignorant of the law. Additionally, disrespectfully late with providing orders on motions (including the day of trial). Don't be fooled by her nice disposition. She's not impartial. She admitted her bias towards police and her decisions reflect the same. Terrible judge. She also raised race in a very inappropriate and uncomfortable way. In such a way, that I am likely to file a formal complaint when this case is over. - Criminal Defense Lawyer
